Interesting time at the Farmers Market. I went there in an odd anticipatory mood... can't explain it still. First session was good, almost two hours' worth inside... many heartfelt thank-you's, gratifying.

But then out back at my usual spot I got driven away by a pack of ill-behaved adults and their worse-behaved offspring, running around, yelling, demanding, falling down on the sidewalk, pulling a wagon at high speed through the lot. The adults had big mouths, and they took over the whole area. I've seen them there before, and probably won't go back to that spot just so I can avoid seeing them again. ick.

My mood was broken by that point and I left, but next week I'll probably find another spot, either inside near the front or out back along the promenade, far away from any seized playgrounds.

The music itself was good... played a few tunes I hadn't played regularly there before, like Bohemian Rag, Waltz Mysterieuse, Seguara Ele, Ma'nouche, Jeannette, Elite Syncopations, Alhambra, Cascades Java... also pulled up some standards which went well, like Redwing, Tennessee Waltz, Ain't Misbehavin'... tried to sing "My Heart Would Know" but my heart wasn't in it... Weeping Willow came through best yet.

It's great to know that so many folks appreciate me being there. Later in the morning some of the people are oblivious, though, and they really spoil things and never seem to recognize it. Clues applied with a two-by-four...? ;-)
